Kazakhstan's exports of computer services reached $529 million last year, as reported by statistics on foreign trade in services published by the National Bank on April 10.
Sales of computer services abroad surged by 57% from $337 million in 2022 to $529 million in the latest reported year. Kazakhstan primarily exported IT services to Cyprus, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
In a significant development, Kazakhstan's export volume of computer services exceeded its imports for the first time, reaching $493 million last year, marking a 35% increase from 2022.
Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub, noted that over the past three years, Kazakhstan's IT exports have experienced remarkable growth, increasing tenfold from $50 million in 2020.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has directed efforts towards further increasing the IT industry's export rate to $1 billion by 2026.(Source:astanatimes)
