Kazakhstan has contributed a 15.2% share to the budget of the SCO

Kazakhstan’s contribution to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) budget will be 15.2%, as stipulated in a decree signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Oct. 15. Previously, Kazakhstan’s share was 16.4%.

According to the decree, Belarus will contribute 5.8% to the SCO budget, India 5.9%, Iran 5.8%, China 17.6%, the Kyrgyz Republic 7.6%, Pakistan 5.9%, Russia 17.6%, Tajikistan 6%, and Uzbekistan 12.6%.

Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov is set to sign the protocol on Kazakhstan’s behalf, with provisional application starting from Jan. 1, 2025.

At the recent meeting in Islamabad, SCO heads of government signed eight documents, including the decision on the Concept of Development of the New Economic Dialogue.
