Kazakhstan and China Enhance Trade Links with Middle Corridor Agreement

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a law on the ratification of the agreement between the government of Kazakhstan and China governments to develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor on July 1.

According to Kazinform, President Tokayev has also signed legislation ratifying agreements with China regarding the development of the Middle Corridor. These agreements include provisions for container trains between China and Europe, as well as for international road transport.

The primary objectives of these agreements are to enhance the efficiency of road, rail, and sea transportation modes, establish favorable conditions for freight transport, and promote the development of logistics centers in both Kazakhstan and China. This initiative aims to increase transit volumes through the Middle Corridor by attracting additional traffic.(Source:astanatimes)
