The Foreign Ministry’s press service reported that Murat Nurtleu, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, arrived in Tajikistan on January 24 for an official visit.
Starting his official visit to Dushanbe on January 25, Nurtleu commenced the day by taking part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of Tajikistan's prominent state and political figure, Ismoil Somoni, located in the capital square.
In discussions with Nurtleu, Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon underscored the effective collaboration between the two nations in bilateral settings and within international regional organizations.
Nurtleu, in response, expressed his dedication and sincere intent to strengthen the alliance with Tajikistan, emphasizing the fraternal bond between the two countries.
The parties highlighted their fruitful collaboration across various sectors including trade, energy, digitalization, transportation, logistics, agriculture, and water resources. They also acknowledged the potential for broadening their economic and investment cooperation. Notably, mutual trade turnover has consistently surpassed $1 billion in recent years.
Furthermore, they discussed enhancing interregional cooperation, fostering trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations, and advancing joint initiatives across diverse domains.
