British Travel Magazine has included Kazakhstan in its list of the top 24 places to visit this year

Wanderlust travel magazine has featured Kazakhstan in its Editors’ Hot List 2024, encouraging tourists to explore the singing dunes and painted rocks of the Altyn-Emel National Park.

“If you have ever longed to see someone firing an arrow using their feet while doing a handstand, the World Nomad Games might just be your Woodstock. … The sight of trained eagles hunting stuffed toys is one you will not soon forget, but you will also find classes on traditional crafts, a Kazakh food festival, and a museum exploring the nomad cultures gathered here,” the report reads. According to Kairat Sadvakassov, the acting Chairman of Kazakh Tourism National Company, Kazakhstan has gained significant recognition as a relatively new travel destination, standing out prominently among other countries in the ranking.

"This portal attracts a wide audience from the United States, Europe, Asia, and various parts of the world. Therefore, being featured there ahead of the upcoming World Nomad Games is crucial for us. This renowned event, in its fifth iteration this year, will be held in Astana. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to highlight Astana, aiming to showcase the Kazakh capital beyond its traditional perception as an administrative area mainly for business-related events," Sadvakassov shared with the Jibek Joly TV channel.

Wanderlust, established in London in 1993, is an esteemed independent travel magazine and holds the distinction of being the oldest travel magazine still in circulation in the United Kingdom and Europe. It's also recognized for having the largest circulation among UK travel magazines, as noted by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) per Wikipedia.
