Kazakhstan Donates Heating Oil to Tajikistan

On March 12, Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry press service announced the delivery of 15,000 tons of heating oil to Dushanbe for the people of Tajikistan.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev directed the provision of 2.542 billion tenge (US$5.65 million) in humanitarian assistance to Tajikistan to support the stable operation of its critical energy facilities, as stated by Kazakh Ambassador to Tajikistan Valikhan Turekhanov. The Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID) facilitated the transportation of this humanitarian cargo. The Ministry emphasized that this aid contributes to ensuring energy security and reflects the longstanding strategic relations between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. Since 2006, Kazakhstan has provided over $50 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan.
