QazaqGaz national company and UCC Holding, a part of Qatar’s Power International Holding, have reached a consensus on four major gas projects in Kazakhstan during a meeting of the Energy Council chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, reported the Prime Minister’s press service.
Kazakhstan and Qatar are advancing several gas projects, including the construction of two processing plants, expansion of gas pipelines, and the development of key infrastructure. This initiative aims to optimize gas usage, enhance processing capacity, and ensure energy security. Notably, the construction of new compressor stations and pipelines will improve gas supply to various regions while maintaining export levels. The Ministry of Energy projects a significant increase in gas production for 2024, driven by key projects like Tengiz, Karachaganak, and Kashagan.
