Kazakhstan and China Set to Strengthen Allied Relations
The Kazakh and Chinese Foreign Ministries have agreed to enhance and broaden their partnership across all sectors. This commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting on April 25 between Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu and Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong, as reported by the ministry’s press service.
During the meeting, both sides discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation, including trade, economics, culture, humanitarian ties, as well as regional and international security. They particularly highlighted upcoming events at the highest levels.
Nurtleu expressed confidence in deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries, emphasizing mutual respect, understanding, and beneficial cooperation.
Sun, in turn, stressed the significance of fostering and strengthening friendly relations between China and Kazakhstan, expressing readiness to further expand cooperation in all areas.
During the Kazakh-Chinese inter-ministerial consultation on April 26, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev and Sun Weidong, the parties discussed political cooperation and various other areas such as trade, economics, investments, culture, and humanitarian interactions.
They also expressed their intention to enhance the exchange of experiences in science and technology, including information technology, energy, medicine, and agriculture.
Both Bakayev and Sun exchanged views on current international and regional topics and reviewed the progress of preparations for upcoming high-level events.
They reaffirmed their readiness to continue close coordination in international and regional structures such as the United Nations (UN), Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and the Central Asia-China format.
Finally, both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China, based on strong friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.(Source:astanatimes)
