VietJet Air plans to launch a new international air route connecting Hanoi, Almaty, and Prague starting July 11, according to Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee on March 19.
The service will operate twice weekly using Airbus A330 aircraft and will be conducted under fifth-freedom traffic rights, enabling the airline to transport passengers between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic.
The route will be implemented Kazakhstan’s open skies regime, which is designed to expand international connectivity and attract foreign carriers to the country’s aviation market.
Officials state that the new service will contribute to the development of tourism, business, and humanitarian ties among Kazakhstan, Vietnam, and the Czech Republic. It is also expected to strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as a transit hub between Asia and Europe and support the continued expansion of its international air network.
