Kazakhstan maintained its position as China’s largest trading partner in Central Asia in the first quarter of 2026, with bilateral trade volume reaching $13.2 billion, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China.
The показатель represents a 46.7% increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and remains the highest among Central Asian countries.
Uzbekistan ranked second with trade turnover amounting to $4.1 billion, reflecting growth of 36.7%, while the Kyrgyz Republic recorded trade volume of $4 billion, representing a decline of 34.4%.
Trade turnover between China and Turkmenistan totaled $2.2 billion, down 4.3% year-on-year. At the same time, Tajikistan demonstrated positive dynamics, with bilateral trade reaching $1 billion, an increase of 19%.
