Kazakhstan Ratifies EAEU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the law ratifying the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Singapore, Akorda reported.
Under the agreement, Singapore will immediately eliminate tariffs on all imported goods and refrain from imposing tariff or non-tariff restrictions. The EAEU will implement a duty-free regime for 88% of goods, starting with 40% upon the agreement’s entry into force.
The FTA is expected to bolster trade between Singapore and EAEU member states, including Kazakhstan.
