Kazakhstan has risen to 34th place in the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) World Talent Ranking 2025, up three positions from last year, the Institute for Economic Research reported on Sept. 9.
The ranking evaluates 69 economies on their capacity to develop, attract, and retain human capital for sustainable growth. Kazakhstan demonstrated the strongest gains in the Investment and Development factor, moving to 20th place, supported by higher female labor participation (51.5%) and improved student-teacher ratios in primary education.
The country also recorded improvements in workforce growth, judicial fairness, and corporate talent retention practices, while maintaining strong performance in secondary education. Kazakhstan now ranks between New Zealand (33rd) and Cyprus (35th).
