Kazakh universities will now offer individual Learning Paths for undergraduate and graduate students through the Coursera platform, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s press service reported on Sept. 4. This is part of the ministry’s initiative to provide high-quality teacher training.
The learning paths will feature courses and projects tailored to developing the key competencies outlined in the professional standard for teachers.
Students will learn to design curricula with courses from top global university professors, manage the educational process, evaluate student performance, utilize modern educational technologies and artificial intelligence, and master effective teaching methods, time management, and student self-regulation.
The paths aim to enhance research skills and pedagogical qualimetry, allowing future teachers to refine educational processes. They will also include courses on soft skills and psychological first aid, such as emotional intelligence, leadership, teamwork, and stress resilience.
Universities can select from existing paths in the Coursera catalog or create custom ones. Upon completion, students will earn a Digital Badge featuring the university’s logo to certify their professional skills and competencies.(Source:astanatimes)
