Kazakh President and Singaporean Business Discuss Alatau City Project Implementation
On Sept. 13, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Asia Infrastructure Solutions Chairman Wong Heang Fine discussed the Alatau City project in the Almaty Region.
According to Akorda, Tokayev and Wong Heang Fine discussed advancing the Alatau City project by leveraging foreign investment, technology, and expertise. The city’s master plan, developed with Surbana Jurong, was approved in May. Tokayev expressed confidence in Wong Heang Fine’s role as a primary consultant, emphasizing his extensive experience in similar projects.
Alatau City, now a city of regional significance, aims to become an international business hub modeled after Singapore. On Sept. 12, Tokayev also met with Glencore CEO Gary Nagle.(Source:astanatimes)
