Kazakhstan’s aviation sector is set for further expansion with the launch of new international flights to Georgia and China this May. These developments align with the country’s broader efforts to strengthen regional connectivity and enhance air travel options for its citizens.
On May 27, Air Astana will commence direct flights from Atyrau, a key city in western Kazakhstan, to Tbilisi, Georgia. This new route, reported by the Ministry of Transport, will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It marks an important addition to the existing connections between Kazakhstan and Georgia, with flights already available from Almaty and Aktau.
