From January to October, Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover hit $114.1 billion, marking a 2.6% increase compared to the previous year.
During the specified period, Kazakhstan's export volumes amounted to $64.6 billion, with the majority comprised of fuel and energy products (54.1%) and metals and their derivatives (14.7%).
The primary export destinations included Italy (18.7%), China (18.1%), Russia (12.6%), Netherlands (5.7%), South Korea (5.3%), and Turkey (5%).(Source:astanatimes)
Analyzing the statistics, Kazakh economist Galymzhan Aitkazin pointed out that a significant portion (68.8%) of Kazakhstan's exports is attributed to the sale of raw materials without extensive processing.
On the import side, the total reached $49.5 billion during the reporting period. Notable imports include passenger cars (5.2%), telephones (3%), bodies and cabins (2.7%), medicines (2.2%), parts and accessories for motor vehicles (2%), and other aircraft (1.7%).
Kazakhstan's main import sources were Russia (26.7%), China (25.5%), Germany (5.2%), the United States (4.4%), South Korea (3.9%), and Turkey (3.4%).
Aitkazin highlighted that Kazakhstan's trade turnover with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries amounted to $23.3 billion during the same period, constituting 20.4% of the total trade turnover, with a 2% decrease compared to the previous year.
