The Ethnovillage at the World Nomad Games highlights diverse cultures and ancient traditions while fostering a spirit of unity among participants

During the World Nomad Games, which concluded on the evening of September 13, the ethnovillage emerged as a central attraction, providing both locals and visitors with an opportunity to engage deeply with nomadic heritage, fostering cultural unity, and offering a unique experience of ancient traditions within the city.

Covering 10 hectares near the Kazanat racetrack in Astana, the ethnovillage, which opened on September 7, featured a central square with a large taiqazan (metal cauldron). The venue included a folk music tent, an open-air museum showcasing nomadic civilizations, and areas dedicated to sports and national cuisine. Each region of Kazakhstan set up yurts to highlight unique traditions and local foods. Inside the yurts, visitors experienced a vibrant atmosphere of live music, lively conversations, and the activity of artisans.
