U.S. Treasury Lifts Restrictions on Oilfield Services for CPC

On May 15, the U.S. Department of the Treasury issued a general license permitting oilfield services for the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Tengizchevroil projects, lifting prior sanctions imposed since January 10.

The license authorizes all previously prohibited transactions related to these key energy projects.

CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban confirmed the restoration of the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station, which was damaged by UAV attacks on February 17. Despite no casualties, the attack disrupted oil transport infrastructure. The station is expected to resume full operations after maintenance scheduled for May 20.

The Kropotkinskaya station is the largest in the CPC pipeline network, a critical asset in the CIS energy sector.
