The Kazakh Ambassador to the United States, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, participated in a panel discussion titled "Rethinking U.S. Approaches in the Context of the Global South," organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington D.C. on March 7, as reported by the Foreign Ministry's press service.
Speakers at the event included Yerzhan Ashikbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United States, Chibamba Kanyama, Ambassador of Zambia to the United States, and Daniel Runde, Senior Vice President at CSIS.
Ashikbayev highlighted Kazakhstan's commitment to a multi-vector policy, serving as a bridge between East and West, and emphasized the country's strategic partnerships across various sectors such as critical minerals, agriculture, and IT.
Runde commended Kazakhstan's constructive foreign policy and its significant role on the global stage, advocating for enhanced US-Kazakhstan relations in areas like rare earth metals, trade, and energy.
The participants emphasized the importance of respecting the interests of all countries for fostering balanced international relations.
