Trade Between Kazakhstan and China Reaches $33 Billion in 2024

In the first nine months of 2024, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China reached $33 billion, Kazinform reported on Nov. 9, citing China’s General Administration of Customs.

China's trade with major partners, including ASEAN, the EU, the US, and South Korea, saw notable growth over the first ten months of the year.

According to recent data, trade between China and ASEAN nations rose by 8.8% to 5.67 trillion yuan (approx. $800 billion), with the EU by 1.2% to 4.64 trillion yuan ($645 billion), the US by 4.4% to 4.01 trillion yuan ($558 billion), and South Korea by 6.7% to 1.91 trillion yuan ($265 billion).

In the same period, China’s total trade turnover increased by 5.2% to 36.02 trillion yuan (approx. $5 trillion), with exports rising by 6.7% and imports by 3.2%. Trade between Kazakhstan and China reached $41 billion in 2023.
