Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will take part in the Central Asia-European Union (EU) Summit during his working visit to Samarkand on April 3-4, the Presidential press office reported.
As part of his visit, Tokayev will also participate in the inaugural Samarkand Climate Forum, which will focus on regional climate cooperation and sustainability initiatives.
Tokayev’s trip follows an invitation from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, shortly after Mirziyoyev’s official visit to Kazakhstan. The summit is expected to strengthen political, economic, and environmental cooperation between Central Asia and the EU.
