Over the span of five months, Kazakhstan's population has increased by almost 85,000 individuals
Since the beginning of the year, the number of Kazakh citizens has increased by 84,636 people, according to the statement of the Bureau of National Statistics, published on June 3.
As of May 1, Kazakhstan's population has reached 20,118,478, with 12,533,471 residing in urban areas and 7,585,007 in rural areas.
The highest population concentrations are found in Almaty (2,249,370), Turkistan (2,147,234), and Almaty (1,540,567). Additionally, other regions and cities with populations exceeding one million include Astana (1,458,092), Shymkent (1,234,356), Zhambyl (1,223,158), and Karagandy (1,134,960).(Source:astanatimes)
