Over 80,000 Foreign Patients Seek Medical Care in Kazakhstan

More than 80,000 foreign citizens have received medical treatment in Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year, attracted by the country’s high-quality and competitively priced cardiac, neurosurgical, dental, and in vitro fertilization services, Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova announced at a government briefing.

According to Alnazarova, the number of international patients has grown significantly compared to previous years. Although foreign visitors currently do not receive additional benefits, the government is developing new incentives as international and domestic flights continue to expand.

This October, Kazakhstan will host the Days of Kazakh Medicine in Uzbekistan, during which teams of Kazakh specialists will perform complex surgeries and conduct master classes across five regions, including Tashkent, Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, and Samarkand.

Kristina Krivets, President of the Kazakhstan Association of Medical Tourism, noted that Kazakhstan now leads CIS countries in the growth of medical tourism. A major step in strengthening the country’s international standing will be the GlobalMedKZ exhibition, scheduled for Nov. 27–28 in Astana, showcasing Kazakhstan’s healthcare innovations and global partnerships.
