National Bank of Kazakhstan to Issue Commemorative Coin for Olympic Games 2026
The National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) announced the release of a new collectible coin, OLYMPIC GAMES 2026. SHORT TRACK, as part of its Sports series.
The 1,000-tenge coin is crafted from 925 sterling silver using color printing technology and is issued in proof quality. It weighs 20 grams, has a diameter of 37 millimeters, and is limited to a mintage of 2,000 pieces, the NBK reported.
The coin was produced at the Kazakhstan Mint in partnership with the German numismatic company MDM Münzhandelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG Deutsche Münze. Information regarding the commencement of sales will be available on the official website of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
The NBK noted that collectible coins are legal tender throughout Kazakhstan and may be used for all types of payments, bank deposits, transfers, exchanges, and barter transactions at banks nationwide.
