KMG International, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company KazMunayGas, recorded consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $469 million in the first nine months of 2026, an increase of 73% year on year, the company reported.
Net profit reached $269 million, up 219% compared with the same period in 2025. The results were supported by refining operations at Romania’s Petromidia refinery and increased sales volumes across the group’s retail businesses.
During the reporting period, Petromidia processed 4.087 million tons of feedstock, averaging 14,670 tons per day, equivalent to approximately 97% of its designed capacity. Total petroleum product output amounted to 3.977 million tons, including 1.793 million tons of diesel, 1.103 million tons of gasoline and 369,000 tons of Jet A-1 aviation fuel.
KMG International’s retail companies sold a combined 2.272 million tons of petroleum products, up 5% year on year. Growth was driven primarily by higher wholesale sales in Romania and increased sales volumes in Moldova. Sales of non-fuel goods and services in Romania rose by 3% compared with the first nine months of 2025. EBITDA in the retail segment totaled $87 million.
