KazMunayGas (KMG) has resumed oil exports through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline with a shipment of 8,800 tons of Kashagan crude from Aktau on Sept. 13, the company reported on Sept. 17.
KMG transported a total of 0.9 million tons of crude via the BTC route during the first eight months of 2025, with the next shipment scheduled for Sept. 20. Exports through BTC were temporarily suspended in August.
The resumption follows agreements with Azerbaijan’s SOCAR, including a 2022 transit deal and a 2024 accord to gradually increase Kazakh oil volumes transported via Azerbaijan.
