Kazmortransflot, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG), increased container shipments across the Caspian Sea in 2025, reinforcing Kazakhstan’s transit and transport capacity, the company reported.
Container transportation along the Aktau–Baku–Aktau feeder route reached 59,400 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), representing growth of more than 15% compared to 51,400 TEUs in 2024.
The increase reflects rising demand along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and underscores Kazmortransflot’s role in ensuring reliable maritime logistics, diversifying export and transit corridors, and strengthening multimodal connectivity between Asia and Europe.
