Kazakhstan will soon introduce a new national passport design, under development since February, combining modern aesthetics with enhanced security features that reflect the country’s national identity and cultural diversity.
According to State Counselor Erlan Karin, leading designers from the National Bank and experts from the Banknote Factory are contributing to the project. The design follows international standards and a contemporary minimalist style, incorporating background images on visa pages and advanced anti-counterfeiting technologies.
The next step is the production of a prototype, a process expected to take several months due to multi-stage printing and the integration of new security systems. Karin noted that the current passport design has been in circulation for 17 years.
