Kazakhstan’s agri-food exports increased by 38.3% in the first half of 2024, reaching $3.2 billion and 9.64 million tons, according to the QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center. The share of agriculture in national exports rose to 8.2%, underscoring the sector’s growing contribution to economic diversification.
Overall foreign trade turnover stood at $66 billion during January–June, with exports totaling $36.82 billion and imports $29.14 billion. While total exports declined by 7.1% year-on-year, industrial exports fell by 9.9%. Imports rose by 2.6%, reflecting stable domestic demand. Oil and petroleum products accounted for 61.3% of exports, base metals 12.6%, and agricultural products 8.2%.
