Kazakhstan delivered humanitarian aid totaling $5 million in 2023, as reported by the Finprom financial and business analytical service on February 19th.
According to the State Revenue Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Finance, Kazakhstan provided humanitarian aid to six countries in 2023. The majority of the aid, valued at $2.6 million, was directed to Afghanistan, with $2.5 million allocated for food products. Other recipients included Tajikistan ($1.8 million), Turkey ($338,600), Ukraine ($140,300), Egypt ($59,800), and Syria ($11,500).
Additionally, the Kazakh Agency for International Development (KazAID) reported that in 2022, Kazakhstan provided $23.4 million in relief aid to Afghanistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Ukraine.
