Kazakhstan to Present Culture, Innovation, and Sustainability at Expo 2025 Osaka

Kazakhstan will participate in Expo 2025, which will take place in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13. The national pavilion will highlight the country’s cultural heritage, technological advancements, and commitment to sustainability, serving as a platform to strengthen international cooperation and showcase Kazakhstan’s progress in key sectors.

Pavilion Concept and Key Themes

The 75-square-meter Kazakh pavilion, situated alongside those of South Korea, Germany, and Türkiye, is designed around the shanyrak, a traditional symbol of unity and continuity. The exhibition will feature interactive displays reflecting Kazakhstan’s achievements in:

  • Sustainability and environmental initiatives
  • Technological and scientific innovations
  • Tourism and cultural heritage

Exhibition Highlights

The pavilion will provide visitors with insights into Kazakhstan’s historical and cultural legacy, including:

  • Notable historical figures, such as Abai Kunanbaiuly
  • Kazakhstan’s contributions to global sports
  • Cutting-edge medical innovations, including the ALEM organ transplant technology

Kazakhstan’s National Day at Expo 2025

As part of the official program, Kazakhstan will celebrate its National Day on August 10, coinciding with Abai Day. The event will include:

  • A flag-raising ceremony
  • A cultural performance program
  • A ceremonial parade
