Kazakhstan plans to create digital National Bank by mid-2024 – Suleimenov
The National Bank of Kazakhstan plans to adopt a document on the creation of a digital National Bank by mid-2024, said Timur Suleimenov, chairman of the National Bank.

“We plan, probably before the first half of next year, to adopt a certain document on the creation of a digital National Bank,” said Suleimenov, speaking at a panel session of the XI Congress of Financiers of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan launched a pilot digital tenge platform. According to the Chairman of the National Bank Galymzhan Pirmatov, testing of the digital tenge was successfully carried out in October 2022 - 3,500 transactions were carried out through the applications of financial market participants. More than 60% of Kazakhstan people are ready to use digital tenge.
