Kazakhstan Opens Direct Flights Between Almaty and Guangzhou
Air Astana has launched a new direct route between Almaty and Guangzhou, with flights operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, Kazakh Tourism reported on April 1.
To mark the occasion, Kazakh Tourism and Air Astana are organizing a familiarization tour for tour operators, journalists, and bloggers from Guangzhou. The program includes visits to Shymbulak ski resort, Charyn Canyon, and Kolsai Lakes, along with B2B meetings to strengthen Kazakh-Chinese tourism cooperation.
Following the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China, the number of Chinese visitors to Kazakhstan increased by 78% in 2024, reaching 655,000. In 2025, Kazakhstan will reciprocate by celebrating the Year of China Tourism.
