Kazakhstan offers over 90% of its government services through online platforms

Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Mussin reported during the ministry's extended meeting on February 28 that Kazakhstan delivers 92% of all government services online, with 85% of them accessible via mobile phones, according to the ministry's press service.

Mussin summarized last year's outcomes by highlighting the launch of several new digital services, such as mortgage applications, real estate transactions, car legalization, and digital notary services.

“After seamless integration of the Public Service Centers’ and the Interior Ministry’s information systems, the amount of fees surged by approximately nine times,” he said.(Source:astanatimes)

Regarding IT services exports, their volume surged by 43% to 734 billion tenge (approximately US$1.6 billion) in the first nine months of 2023, with the target set at $500 million.

In the telecommunications sector, 169 villages transitioned to the 4G standard last year, with over 80,000 households connected via optical communication lines, and 740 5G standard base stations installed across 20 cities.

This year's objectives include upgrading 400 villages to the 4G standard and extending optical communication lines to 764 villages, facilitating the connection of 100,000 households in 286 villages.
