Kazakhstan Nears 18,000 Registered Electric Vehicles
Kazakhstan has registered 17,976 electric vehicles, reflecting steady growth in eco-friendly transport, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. In February, the number exceeded 12,000, highlighting rapid market expansion.
In July 2023, Kazakhstan adopted legislative amendments aimed at developing charging infrastructure, incentivizing demand, and creating conditions for further sector growth.
Globally, electric vehicle sales increased by 28% in the first half of 2024, reaching 9.1 million units, according to UK-based Rho Motion.
