Kazakhstan plans to upgrade nine border checkpoints with China, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan in 2025, increasing vehicle throughput capacity from 170 to 960 per day and reducing border crossing times to 30 minutes, according to the Prime Minister’s press service on Jan. 10.
An automated electronic queue system, accessible via the Qoldau.kz platform and CargoRuqsat mobile app, is now operational at all ten border checkpoints along the Eurasian Economic Union's external border. This innovation has eased congestion and improved transportation transparency.
