Kazakhstan’s Passenger Transportation company will introduce a new Talgo train on the Almaty–Kostanai route beginning Dec. 16, operating on even-numbered days.
The new service will shorten travel time by 12 hours compared with standard passenger trains, offering a significantly faster long-distance travel option. The train will carry more than 600 passengers and make stops at key stations, including Kostanai, Tobol, Atbasar, Astana, Karagandy, and Almaty, the company’s press service reported.
The train will also feature specially equipped seats for passengers with disabilities, who will be eligible for discounts of up to 50%.
