Kazakhstan recorded substantial growth in grain transportation volumes in January–March 2026, reflecting coordinated efforts between government authorities, transport operators, and market participants to ensure stable logistics and export supplies.
During a meeting of the Grain Transportation Task Force chaired by the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, participants reviewed the current logistics situation and approved operational measures aimed at maintaining uninterrupted transportation flows, according to the ministry’s press service.
According to official data, total grain transportation volumes reached 4.1 million tons in the first quarter of 2026, representing a 15% increase compared to the same period last year. Export shipments increased by 18% to 3.2 million tons, while domestic transportation volumes rose by 8% to 0.9 million tons.
Significant growth was observed across key export destinations, particularly in Central Asia. Grain shipments to the region increased by 48% to 2.1 million tons, including 1.5 million tons exported to Uzbekistan.
