Kazakhstan to Increase Agricultural Exports to Afghanistan

Kazakhstan plans to boost agricultural exports to Afghanistan by over $100 million following negotiations between NC Food Contract Corporation JSC and Afghan state and private sector partners on Sept. 16.

The discussions, organized by the Kazakhstan Trade House in Herat, focused on expanding shipments of wheat, flaxseed, corn, and soybeans, as well as strengthening regional food security and trade mechanisms.

Preliminary agreements indicate contracts exceeding $100 million are expected, supporting Kazakhstan’s ongoing strategy to diversify export markets beyond Southeast Asia and North Africa.
