Kazakhstan Explores Investment and Technology Cooperation with US Companies

Gabidulla Ospankulov, chairman of the Investment Committee of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, and Marat Birimzhan, overseas representative of Kazakh Invest national company, held high-level discussions with leaders from major U.S. companies to explore investment opportunities, technology exchange, and local production in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on March 12.

Key meetings took place at the Honeywell Technology Experience Center, where both sides examined potential collaboration in industrial automation, sustainable aviation fuel production, and digital manufacturing.

Negotiations with Archer Daniels Midland focused on expanding agribusiness cooperation, particularly in grain processing and vegetable oil production in Kazakhstan. Discussions with Pfizer centered on opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector, with an emphasis on biotechnology and increasing local pharmaceutical output.

Talks with Leidos covered technological solutions for transport systems, infrastructure security, and advanced cybersecurity, while a meeting with Xylem explored innovative water purification systems and water quality monitoring technologies to enhance Kazakhstan’s water infrastructure.

Ospankulov reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening investment partnerships with U.S. companies and providing favorable conditions for local production and technological cooperation.
