Kazakhstan Expands Invataxi Services for People with Disabilities

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a new law aimed at expanding inclusive transport services, particularly the Invataxi project for people with disabilities, according to a statement from Akorda.

The legislation introduces a series of amendments to improve housing construction, highway development, and transportation services for persons with disabilities across the country. The second set of amendments specifically addresses the scaling of the Invataxi initiative.

The updated law provides for the integration of the Invataxi system into a unified social services portal, enabling persons with disabilities to access transportation tailored to their individual needs. This step is expected to enhance personal mobility and social inclusion.

The first set of amendments focuses on enhancing transparency and legal safeguards in shared housing construction projects, ensuring greater protection of equity holders' rights.

The third block introduces legal and technical provisions to improve the quality of Kazakhstan’s public roads. It establishes a unified digital database for road construction materials and advanced technologies, as part of a broader digital transformation of the highway sector under the law on roads.
