Kazakhstan has made 50 government services available through eGov GPT, allowing citizens to access public services through a conversational digital interface.
The service was presented during the unveiling of the Action Plan for implementing Kazakhstan’s Digital Qazaqstan strategy at the Alem.ai International Center for Artificial Intelligence.
The new platform enables users to describe the government service they need and complete the relevant process through a chat-based interface. The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to move public services away from traditional in-person interactions toward more accessible digital and proactive delivery.
The shift is already reflected in the declining use of Public Service Centers (PSCs). During the first half of 2026, the number of citizen visits to PSCs decreased by 30% compared with the same period last year.
The government plans to significantly expand the range of services available through eGov GPT. At least 150 additional government services are expected to be integrated into the platform by the end of 2026. More than 20,000 services had already been provided through the new format at the time of the earlier announcement.
Artificial intelligence is also being increasingly used within government agencies to process documents and analyze large volumes of information. According to Konyashkin, government employees are not permitted to use AI models that process data on servers located outside Kazakhstan.
