A Kazakh delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev joined other participants at the 15th Session of the Islamic Summit Conference in Gambia, addressing key global issues like Middle East peace and sustainable development within the OIC space.

Bakayev highlighted Kazakhstan's initiatives, including the OIC-15 Dialogue Platform for leading Muslim countries in science and technology, and the role of the Islamic Organization for Food Security. He also emphasized Kazakhstan’s proposal for an International Biosafety Agency.

On the sidelines, Bakayev held discussions with several foreign ministers to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral relations. The summit concluded with the adoption of the Banjul Declaration and the Final Communiqué, which incorporated Kazakh initiatives.
