Kazakhstan begins building a techno-park for advanced waste recycling

The Kazakh Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Zhasyl Damu company have launched the first project to construct a waste recycling plant and techno-eco park, the ministry’s press service reported on July 24.

The project will sort 120,000 tons of waste annually, handle bulky waste at 120,000 tons per year, and process 80,000 tons of organic waste. It will create 70 new jobs.

The government is backing 94 waste management projects funded by utilization payments, with the goal of boosting municipal waste recycling from 1 million to 2.2 million tons annually.(Source:astanatimes)
