Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Inaugurate Direct Air Service Between Almaty and Tashkent
On March 31, Uzbek carrier Qanot Sharq officially inaugurated a direct air route linking Almaty and Tashkent, further reinforcing regional connectivity.
The inaugural flight was received at Almaty International Airport with a ceremonial water arch, and arriving passengers were welcomed with traditional greetings and sweets, in accordance with established aviation protocol.
Scheduled services will operate three times per week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—utilizing an Airbus A321neo aircraft. The flight duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
