Kazakhstan and UK Partner to Expand Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

On April 25, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport announced that the Committee of Highways had signed an agreement with the United Kingdom’s Car Park Transformer Limited to collaborate on the installation and operation of electric vehicle charging stations. These stations will utilize the company’s advanced technologies.

The project will prioritize the installation of these stations at rest areas along roads of international and national significance, with the goal of creating convenient and accessible infrastructure for electric vehicle owners. This initiative aims to encourage the uptake of environmentally friendly transportation in Kazakhstan.

The envisioned stations will provide a comfortable multi-service environment for all road users, incorporating electric vehicle charging points and trading platforms. Beyond their function as vehicle service points, these facilities will also serve as convenient rest areas for drivers and passengers alike.
