Kazakhstan and Thailand Express Willingness to Expand Cooperation

The press service of the Kazakh Ministry reported on April 23 that Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu engaged in discussions in Bangkok with leaders of prominent Thai companies, demonstrating mutual interest in advancing investment cooperation, as well as enhancing trade and economic relations.

During the meeting with Really Cool Airlines CEO Patee Sarasin, discussions centered on diversifying transportation links, particularly by establishing direct flights between the capitals and other major cities of both countries.

The focus of the meeting with the head of Thai President Foods PCL, Pojjana Paniangvait, was cooperation in the food industry. The company views Kazakhstan as a regional logistics hub for supplying its products to both the Kazakh market and countries within Central Asia and the Eurasian Economic Union. Additionally, the Thai side expressed interest in exploring the possibility of establishing production facilities in Kazakhstan.

Senior Vice President of Sea Value, Chanintr Chalisarapong, conveyed intentions to invest in the Kazakh market, specifically in establishing a trade and distribution center for supplying seafood to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.

On April 23, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu and Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara signed an agreement exempting national passport holders of both countries from visa requirements.(Source:astanatimes)
