Kazakhstan and Switzerland are strengthening their collaboration in investment

Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu held discussions regarding investment projects within Kazakhstan's key economic sectors with the leadership of Swiss companies INOKS Capital, Stadler Rail, Воѕсhung, and MSC during his working visit to Geneva on February 28, as reported by the Foreign Ministry’s press office.

Nurtleu discussed Kazakhstan's economic reforms and investment policies, emphasizing the advantages of investing in priority sectors such as agriculture, mechanical engineering, and transportation and logistics.

He highlighted the Ministry's role in attracting foreign investments and expressed support for Swiss entrepreneurs looking to expand their presence in Kazakhstan.

Representatives of the European business community praised Kazakhstan's investment climate and sustainable economic growth, acknowledging its importance in enhancing food and energy security.

They expressed readiness to expand cooperation and explore promising projects, including orchard cultivation and irrigation in the Almaty Region, as well as the production of European standard passenger cars and auxiliary road equipment in Kazakhstan.(Source:astanatimes)

The implementation of agreements reached during the meetings, including attracting financing, establishing production facilities, and creating new jobs, will contribute to Kazakhstan's economic progress.

Switzerland ranks among Kazakhstan's top three foreign investors, with Swiss investments totaling $1.9 billion in the third quarter of 2023. Since 2005, Switzerland's total foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan has reached $34.6 billion.
