Kazakhstan and Slovenia Set Priorities for Upcoming Business Forum

Kazakhstan and Slovenia will focus on transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals, green energy, water resources, and telecommunications at an upcoming business forum, which will coincide with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar’s official visit to Kazakhstan.

“Astana highly values ties with Ljubljana as an important partner in Central Europe and the European Union. We can find common ground on many issues, in particular, mutually beneficial use of our transit and transportation potential,” said Nurtleu.

This was confirmed during a March 31 meeting between Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu and Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon.

Strengthening Economic and Diplomatic Ties

According to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s press service, both sides discussed enhancing trade and investment cooperation while ensuring a favorable business environment for enterprises from both countries.

  • Astana and Ljubljana reaffirmed their commitment to the UN Charter and international law.
  • Nurtleu expressed gratitude for Slovenia’s support of the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty.
