Kazakhstan and Estonia concluded 11 commercial agreements totaling over $517 million during the Kazakh-Estonian Business Forum held in Astana on Nov. 18. The forum was attended by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Estonia Alar Karis, who arrived on a state visit to Kazakhstan on Nov. 17 accompanied by a business delegation of more than 40 representatives.
In his address, President Tokayev emphasized that the forum provides new impetus to bilateral economic cooperation and facilitates the development of mutually beneficial projects across priority sectors. According to him, Kazakhstan sees significant potential for partnership in transport and logistics, digital technologies, agriculture, industry, finance, and education. He also confirmed the country’s readiness to ensure full institutional and investment support to Estonian businesses operating in Kazakhstan.
President Karis highlighted Estonia’s interest in expanding trade and investment cooperation, noting that both sides are committed to strengthening long-term partnerships based on innovation and modern technological solutions.
On Nov. 17, the two leaders held a bilateral meeting, during which they confirmed their intention to deepen cooperation in trade, the digital economy, logistics, and multilateral diplomacy. As part of his visit, President Karis also delivered a lecture at Nazarbayev University, focusing on the role of knowledge, innovation, and trust in the development of modern states.
